Doodledum

Is there an option to make the drawing area bigger, Alice? I love to guess what you all drew but drawing myself gives me headaches.

Alice, you are great!!! You are priceless!!!!! Thank you so much for the enlargement of the drawing area. I've already tried it instead of turning off the lights and going to sleep. It's way easier now to draw lines precisely. And the handling is somehow smoother. Love it:-)

@ Sys: Thank you for your answer. I am not mad at you. The pun was funny! But I thought I had constructed a wrong sentence and you were making fun of me because of it.

I wasn't familiar with Twain's essay about the German language. But I did some quick research. Poor old Mark:-) German is a strange and unnecessary complicated language. That's why I love English so much. It is clearer. But still no that easy to learn.

@Sasa and Limes: Thank you. Love you too

I use iPad. Everybody hates iPads. Especially me.

It’s definitely happened. It looks like if you tap three times it enlarges, or something like that. I will have to get used to the change. It will make detail easier, but if my sketches start getting really strange it’s because of the zoom, or at least that will be my new excuse, hee hee….

I am curious, do you guys use your phone for the doodle game? I use a laptop, personally.

My family does that sort of language joke often, anytime someone in our family said "I need a haircut" or "I just got a haircut" someone would chime in with, "WHICH ONE???" (which single hair on your head needs to be cut?) and drive our little brother mad. Good times!

I get the impression Alice might be trying to make your wish come true. That or she’s been drawing an epic picture for about 4 hours.

I'm sorry dom, I didn't mean to offend you. It was meant in good fun. I do that sort of thing with my mom all the time, as English isn't her native language either. I speak two languages semi-fluently, studied four more, and sung in a total of seven and I think languages are absurd. I don't know if you've read Mark Twain's diatribe on German in Tramp Abroad, but someone could do the same for any language out there. What are they good for if not for a laugh.

Sasa wrote:

Oh Dom, you are freaking amazing! The fact that English is not your native language is simply unbelievable. In my head I always quadruple your boggle score, even though it’s not official. That’s how much I value your intellect. We love you. Sys, is just being playful. Take care. 🫶🏻

Limequat wrote:

Your English is impressive, Dom. I would’ve phrased the sentence you wrote the same way.

Sys wasn’t making fun of you. It is a play on words, it’s how Sys jokes with everyone. Please don’t feel bad.

@Shari: Maybe I'm a bit sensitive today, but being mocked for making mistakes hurts. I'm not surrounded by people who speak proper English. In fact, at work I spend all day with people who don't. That doesn't necessarily help improve my English. I use translators when I'm not sure how to write something properly. And believe me, that happens a lot. But translators don't always give correct or confusing answers. Chatting with you all is a wonderful and great opportunity for me to learn. So, help or correct me. I appreciate it, I really do. But please, don't make fun of me.

Lol Sys. :/

Your drawings are always so good Dom. I dunno how it works on computer (I think you use a laptop?) but I have to zoom in on my iPad to draw and then, when I’m done, I zoom out and think…”wow I am so much worse at this than I thought”.

Don't draw yourself, then. Draw something else.
