That is so touching sys. My kitties all communicate with me differently so I think I understand and I hope I do. I have worked with people during the worst possible time in their lives so the best I can do is listen. Then I do what I can to help with their situation. I think in another life I would have been a psychologist or psychiatrist.

Humans are much harder to understand or communicate with and I wish I was better at it.

I already talk to animals, and I flatter myself that they understand me at least part of the time. One of my best memories of my departed kitty--I was giving him cuddles and I asked him, "Do you love me?" He looked straight at me and said, "Ohhhh!" Reached up, placed his head firmly against my cheek, and purred and purred. We just stayed like that for a minute. A few days before he died I scolded him because he hadn't been finishing his food, leaving it to waste. He looked at me very soberly and that evening he licked his bowl clean. Didn't leave a crumb. It breaks my heart because I think he was already sick at that point and not feeling well but I didn't know. He just tried so hard to please me. He was a special kitty.

I seriously want to known what my cats are saying. They are ridiculously chatty. And I just think it would be cool. One of these days in the not to distant future we will have fluent translators for languages kind of like Star Trek but I think animals will be harder to understand.
