The classic premise for the show is somebody pulling wacky hijinks, shenanigans, and general jackanapery to make people think a place is haunted or cursed so they can somehow profit. (e.g. trying to sabotage a real estate sale, or generating tourist traffic to a 'haunted' attraction.)
