Wassail:

From an Old English salutation meaning “be in good health,” it names a spoken wish of wellbeing and the winter custom of sharing songs and good fortune during the darkest part of the year. While it can also refer to a traditional spiced drink, the heart of it lies in the act itself - visiting, blessing and calling goodwill into being. It is a way of wishing abundance aloud and together, carrying the belief that warmth, health and fortune grow stronger when they are spoken, sung and shared.
