Madness is the gift that has been given to me.

When I was a child, I’d get supermarket carrier bags and attach the handles to the arms of my teddy bears, with the bag part above their heads.
I’d climb up the first flight of stairs in my house, to the landing, then I’d lean over the bannister and carefully drop the teddies. I did this often.

I hoped the bags would work as parachutes - I wanted my teddies to fly.

They didn’t
